The stakes are high; the battle is bloody; and through it all, Carnavale rages on. And in the end, one vampire’s secret identity will be exposed in a revelation that shocks everyone.

Monday morning it looked like a very promising week. Lots and lots of books were published this week, among them Jeaniene Frost’s Eternal Kiss of Darkness and Seressia Glass’ Shadow Chase, two books I’ve been looking forward to. What happened when the delivery came? NO ETERNAL KISS OF DARKNESS!! I was not a happy camper. I was pissed. It wasn’t all bad, a lot of books I had order for myself arrived, as did Shadow Chase.

First up are the books for the store.

Someone is turning the city of Atlanta upside down in search of a millennia-old Egyptian dagger that just happens to have fallen into Kira's hands.
Then there's Khefar, the dagger's true owner -- a near-immortal 4,000-year-old Nubian warrior who, Kira has to admit, looks pretty fine for his age. Joining forces is the only way to keep the weapon safe from the sinister Shadow forces, but now Kira is in deep with someone who holds more secrets than she does, the one person who knows just how treacherous this fight is. As some of you know I work at this amazing book store in Copenhagen. My Mondays and Tuesdays consist of unpacking our weekly book delivery from the US and the UK. Thursdays and Fridays I usually go through the order numbers for the next week’s delivery, and plug them into our system. We usually get promo book covers from publishers months in advance, which is great so I know what books to look forward to. So why not make a feature with the paranormal romance, urban fantasy and steampunk books we receive? I’ll be posting both old and new books.

Let’s get cracking.

Title: Single White Vampire
Author: Lynsay Sands
Publisher: Avon
Date of Publication: June 29th 2010
ISBN: 9780062019806
Summary:
Roundhouse Publishing editor Kate C. Leever's first letter to her newest legacy author was intended to impress upon him the growing demand for his "vampire romances." Though he'd expressed little to no desire for publicity, book tours or the like, it was clear that this was a writer waiting to be broken out. Correspondence with Mr. Lucern Argeneau tended to be oddly delayed, but this time his response was quick and succinct.
"No."
But Kate was adamant: Luc will attend a romance convention to meet his fans. By hook or by crook, despite his reclusive nature, odd sleep schedule and avoidance of the sun, the surly yet handsome Luc was going to be recognized as the real charmer a nationally bestselling author should be. But soon Kate would learn that his novels were more biographies than bodice rippers, and it'd be her neck on the line.
A sweeter surrender, or more heartwarming a love story—his own—Luc has yet to write. (From )

Title: Tall, Dark & Hungry
Author: Lynsay Sands
Publisher: Avon
Date of Publication: June 29th 2010
ISBN: 9780062019837
Summary:
The taste of temptation
Terri had flown from England to help plan her cousin's wedding, but paying for a New York hotel room was like giving blood! She had an alternative: the new in-laws were offering lodging.
Of course, the Argeneaus were a certifiably odd bunch. There was the sometimes chipper, sometimes brooding Lucern—a "vampire romance" writer. There was the wacky stage actor, Vincent. She couldn't imagine Broadway casting a more ravenous singing-and-dancing Dracula. And then there was Bastien. Of this unique cast of characters, he seemed the tallest, darkest and hungriest—and his effect on Terri was decidedly delicious. Just looking into his eyes made her want to serve up her innocence on a silver platter. And she had a feeling the love feast was about to begin. (From )
Enjoy!
